Our attorneys have extensive experience in the area of immigration detention. Common situations regarding immigration detention are:

• You have exhausted all legal remedies and you have been placed in detention awaiting deportation
• You have applied for asylum in another member state and you have been placed in detention awaiting transfer to the authorities of that country
• Often, foreign nationals in detention also face an undesirability declaration or an entry ban
• You have applied for asylum and must await the decision of the IND in detention

Please know that the lawyer can only take the case on behalf of the detained person. And please note that the Legal Aid Board will assign a lawyer at an early stage in cases of immigration detention. So, in almost all cases, a lawyer has already been assigned to the case.
